Regarded as one of the greatest horror films of all time, “The Exorcist,” broke box office records and terrorized audiences around the world. More than four decades after the Academy Award nominated film, “The Exorcist” returned to FX in a serial format terrorizing and harvesting fans around the world.
Directed by Rupert Wyatt ( “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”) and starring Mexican Alfonso “Poncho” Herrera ( “The Science of the Absurd”) and renowned British actor Ben Daniels ( “Flesh and Bone”) The Exorcist Season 2 premieres on Friday, Sept. 29.
Opening an entirely new chapter in the iconic franchise, the second season is comprised of 10 one-hour episodes. We meet Fathers Tomas Ortega (Alfonso Herrera) and Marcus Keane (Ben Daniels), who has just left the habits, outside Chicago and on route, looking for evil. Across the Atlantic, Father Bennett (Kurt Egyiawan, “007: Operation Skyfall”) attempts to get rid of those within the Vatican who have turned against God.
Finally, Tomas and Marcus are taken to Andrew Kim (John Cho, “Star Trek”), a former child psychologist who runs a foster home for five at-risk children on an isolated private island off the coast of Seattle. When one of the children under Andrew’s care is attacked by a mighty force, Tomas and Marcus head west, setting off again on a collision course with hell.
